Community Alternative Placement Program (CAPP)

CAPP services offer a structured balance of responsibility, accountability, and intensive supervision for pre-adjudicated and adjudicated offenders, as well as struggling youth at risk of dropping out of school. The program provides a positive, rehabilitative environment where individualized goals are set for participants. The structured Day Program, which operates Monday through Friday, includes transportation and focuses on key areas such as educational support services, life skills, job development, and personal growth. Referrals to the program can be made by Juvenile Probation Officers (JPOs), parents, school staff, or through self-referral.

CAPP also provides free educational support and tutoring for students who are struggling academically or at risk of failing one or more subjects, including those on extended out-of-school suspension. Tutoring is available both in-person and online, ensuring accessibility and flexibility for participants. Students aged 10–17 are eligible, and tutoring slots are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, visit our Tutoring page!
